Festive not Forced Creativity to get your goals

“a fine festive task awaits you…”

Prepare yourself not by trying to force good ideas to come, but by recalling frequently from now on that in the coming months a fine and festive task awaits you, for which you must constantly strengthen, compose, and attune yourself.”

  • Gradually begin to turn your thoughts to your project
  • It may seem premature or easy
  • Nevertheless…from now on let not a week pass, certain not a month pass, without turning your thoughts to the future…
  • Make a note of your ideas; take the pattern…and look it over whenever you have a free half-hour.
  • From~The Glass Bead Game, Hermann Hesse

I’m goal oriented, but have you ever accomplished a goal and felt empty afterward? I have. Instead of setting the usual goals, set your mind to something that gives meaning to you and give your mind the space to explore. Then, begin to put steps in place.

It’s reported that only 8% of people keep their New Year’s Resolutions. Part of it is being accountable, and part of it is picking one that you are willing to fight for.

Reaching a meaningful goal means going beyond where you have been before, which may also bring stress and anxiety, and self doubt, but it just shows you what is going on in your mind. The feelings are not who you really are. You are the one who created the goal, in some part of your mind it is already done. It is the part of you that knows the truth of your capability.

It’s not about perfect either, it’s about practice, learning tools, and having support how to work with the mind get on track to the bigger picture of who you are meant to be and what you are meant to contribute.

Give yourself space to tap into your innate creativity that has always been there, there will be less “busy doing” and more true movement in the direction of your goal. Let your passion flow through you. In truth, you are your own hero, choose what moves you soul.

“You enter the forest
at the darkest point,
where there is no path.

Where there is a way or path,
it is someone else’s path.

You are not on your own path.

If you follow someone else’s way,
you are not going to realize
your potential.”
